The census is coming! After a 72-year wait, the Census Bureau will be releasing the 1940 Census to the public on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 9 am. You can view the census images on Ancestry.com and on the National Archives and Record Administration’s website: www.1940census.archives.gov.  The NARA website also provides helpful tips on how to start your 1940 census research. You can access the 1940 census from your home or library computer.
